Trackside Rules

BRCA Membership

All track participants must be members of the British Radio Car Association (BRCA). BRCA membership provides third-party liability insurance for RC car use, protecting both you and the club. New racers may attend three meetings (up to six weeks) in a year without additional premium.

Lithium Battery Usage and Charging

Use of lithium-based battery cells must comply with BRCA rules.

No Running of Cars Outside Track Boundary

Testing cars outside track barriers is unsafe. Indoors, it may damage the sports hall flooring; outdoors, it risks damaging marquees or personal property. Act responsibly to protect the club.

Supervision of Junior Members

The club is family-friendly and encourages junior participation. However, children must be supervised to ensure safety around track hazards. Please explain these dangers to them to keep everyone safe.

Inexperienced Marshals

First-time or inexperienced marshals should contact the committee for guidance and training.

No High-Wattage Appliances

High-power appliances (e.g., kettles, heaters) are prohibited to avoid overloading electrical systems.

Be Kind and Courteous

We aim to create a welcoming RC club environment. Treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are welcome, but kindness is required.
